Having successfully completed our first ITILT project, we were provided funding from Erasmus+ to continue our investigation into the use of technologies in second language teaching. In this second project we have widened the scope of technologies used in the classrooms to include tablet devices, laptops, and video conferencing software among others. This project aims to work with teachers to support their use of these technologies in second language education, from Primary to Higher Education, using Task Based Language Teaching methods.
In collaboration with the iTILT partners and and Wicklow Education & Training Board TELLconsult is coordinating the 2015 summercourses for professionals in Language and Vocational Education based on results of the EU projects the afore mentioned organisations were involved in. To participate teachers and teacher educators can apply for Erasmus Plus grants through their institutions. Click here for more information
The final report on the iTILT project has received a 9 out of 10 score, for which the Executive Agency responsible for Lifelong Learning Projects has congratulated the whole team on this “excellent achievement”.
